MUSEU ETNOLÒGIC I DE CULTURES DEL MÓN
museum

This museum was born from the need of the Museu Etnològic de Barcelona, to exhibit the collection of non-western art from its collections and the Folch collection, for which it did not have enough space.
The ICUB destines for this purpose, two medieval palaces located in the center of Barcelona.
The museographic challenge was to find a way to distribute the pieces. The furniture, on the other hand, generates a language of its own that contrasts with the medieval building, making it clearly differentiate between architecture and museography. Both the lighting and the anti-reflective glass make the pieces perceive in a very clear way.
