GALÁCTICA - CENTRO DE DIFUSIÓN Y PRÁCTICA DE LA ASTRONOMÍA
museum

The museographic design for Galactica had as its starting point the building, designed by the Mytaki studio. It was proposed as a fundamental axiom that the proposal was always a consequence of the existing architecture and its intrinsic language, in the same way that the ellipse is the one of the predominant shapes of the universe.

Breaking down the elliptical shape as an essential element of the building, the concept of laminar flow of the ellipse was distilled, which provides an organic and fluid expression to the path of the space. The resulting sinuous shapes, which emerge from the architecture itself, result in a configuration that allows organizing and articulating the different thematic spaces of the exhibition, in addition to revealing information as the visitor walks through it . This not only induces an attitude of exploration and discovery on the part of the visitor, but also maintains the original circulation of access to the various rooms distributed along the corridors.
