MUSEU DE CULTURES DEL MÓN This museum was born from the need of the Museu Etnològic de Barcelona, to exhibit the collection of non-western art from its own collections in addition to the Folch collection. The ICUB destines for this purpose, two medieval palaces located in the center of Barcelona. The museographic challenge was to find a way to distribute the pieces and adapt their supports to the different scales. Due to the nature of the pieces, the showcases were designed with high standard conservation considerations. The furniture, on the other hand, generates a language of its own that contrasts with the medieval building, making it clearly differentiate between architecture and museography. Both the lighting and the anti-reflective glass make the pieces be perceived in a very clear way. Design: ÁMBITO CERO
